About

Welcome to the Dose of Dopeness podcast where every Sunday hosts Chris and Drew talk sports, pop culture and break down their weekly top 5, all through their attempt at witty, blithe humor.

There’s no better way to jump back into the workweek than by listening to their captivating views on who has the best tattoos in sports, Popovich’s latest riveting interview or the most recent controversial kill-off on Game of Thrones. Their charismatic charm will help caffeinate your Monday morning drive or make your daily chores just a bit more bearable.

Both Michigan State grads, their views are only slightly biased during college football and basketball seasons.

Chris is a Michigan native, Atlanta transplant with a degree in Mathematics and a life-long major in sports and hip hop. Though a disgruntled Lions and Pistons fan, he remains loyal to Detroit sports and is a Michigan State Spartan for life. When he’s not watching sports, reading Malcolm Gladwell’s latest hit or tapping a new beer, you’ll find him on the basketball court aspiring to be the next 5’9 NBA star. Prior to starting up Dose of Dopeness with Drew, Chris managed his own blog and podcast with a primary focus on Michigan State sports and the NBA.

A history buff and current law school student, Drew moved to Michigan when he was eight but remains allegiant to Minnesota sports. When he’s not studying ways to get people in and out of trouble or readying history books for fun, he’s watching old sketch comedy shows and being mistaken for Aaron Paul. Drew does have a soft spot for Detroit sports and is – as all Michigan State grads are – a Spartan for life. His other interests include rap music, horror movies and watching documentaries about invasive surgeries (just kidding). Drew appeared frequently as a guest on Chris’ previous podcast before teaming up for this joint venture.
